Ford Sponsors Five Teams for 2023 Rebelle Rally

This year’s Rebelle Rally is coming up fast, and teams of esteemed female off-roaders from across the country are getting ready for the event that will take them through the beautiful vistas and challenging trails of Nevada and California. It’s an exciting time for Ford as well. This is the automaker’s first year as an official sponsor, and they will be sponsoring five different teams, who will not only strive to impress with the Bronco and Bronco Sport, but will be hoping to make the rally a proving ground for the all-electric Mustang Mach-E Rally.

This groundbreaking event was the first women’s off-road navigation rally raid in the U.S. Not only is it a prestigious title for a team to earn for this reason, it’s also a grueling challenge even for hardcore competitors. Each team is made up of a driver, a navigator, and the vehicle they drive, with no support crew, no cell phones, and no GPS allowed. The course stretches for about 1,500 miles from Mammoth Mountain to the Imperial Sand Dunes in Southern California, with the event beginning on October 12th of this year and ending on October 21st. It’s a chance not only for automakers to show off the qualities of their best off-roading vehicles, but for team members to showcase their driving and navigational skills as they compete for the top titles.

This year, the five teams that Ford is sponsoring are made up of legendary names in the sport. Two teams will be driving a Bronco Raptor, including multi-time Baja 1000 class champion Shelby Hall, five-time Rebelle Rally Competitor Rori Lewis, Rebelle U instructor Laura Wanlass, and previous Rebelle competitor Maria Guitar. Two veteran trail guides of the Bronco Off-Roadeo, Jessica Moore and Melissa Clarke, will be driving a Bronco Sport, while two rookies from the 2022 Rebelle Rally Cross, Karisa Haydon and Trista Smith, will drive a Bronco WildTrak. The team manning the Mustang Mach-E Rally as it attempts to prove its mettle will be previous Rebelle Rally winner Kaleigh Miller and King of the Hammers groundbreaker Bailey Campbell.
