Ford Boosts Mustang Mach-E Output in 2023 & Lowers Prices
Ford is ramping up production of its Mustang Mach-E electric SUV this year as part of its commitment to the electric vehicle (EV) revolution. The increased production will help to shorten customer wait times and lower prices, making the Mustang Mach-E more accessible and competitive in the market.
This move is part of the Ford+ Plan, which aims to increase the value of its EVs for customers, grow market share and position the Mustang Mach-E as a top choice for electric SUVs. Ford supports EV customers already with a full-size truck, SUV and van – and the company has secured the batteries and raw material to boost production of all these models in 2023.
With a 300+ mile range and zero emissions, the Mustang Mach-E provides an exciting driving experience and is available with hands-free driving on more than 130,000 miles of highway. Ford EV customers also have access to over 79,000 charging plugs via the BlueOval Charge Network, the largest public charging network in North America.
The majority of Mustang Mach-E’s growth so far has come from non-Ford customers, The all-electric SUV was the No. 3 EV model in the U.S. in 2022. The vehicle’s updated pricing will help to maintain its competitiveness in a rapidly changing market and reinforce Ford’s position as the second largest EV manufacturer in the US.
“We are not going to cede ground to anyone. We are producing more EVs to reduce customer wait times, offering competitive pricing and working to create an ownership experience that is second to none,” said Marin Gjaja, Chief Customer Officer, Ford Model e. “Our customers are at the center of everything we do – as we continue to build thrilling and exciting electric vehicles, we will continue to push the boundaries to make EVs more accessible for everybody.”
Current Mustang Mach-E customers who are waiting for delivery will automatically get the revised price, and Ford will directly contact those who purchased their vehicle on or after January 1, 2023.
“Part of our mission at Ford is to treat customers like family,” said Gjaja. “We want our customers to know they made the right decision by choosing a Mustang Mach-E, and we’ll continue to play a proactive role in doing the right thing for those joining the Ford family.”
For Mustang Mach-E vehicles purchased between January 30th and April 3rd, 2023, Ford Credit will offer special low interest rates starting at 5.34%.
“This is a natural companion to the new Mach-E pricing,” said Craig Carrington, Ford Credit executive vice president for North America. “The offer is straightforward and competitive, enabling customers to lock in today’s rates, even if rates go up between order and delivery.”
